Creative Blogging Jobs: Get Paid to Write for Art, Design, Photography, Audio, & Video Blogs

All the best-paying freelance blogging gigs are on topics like business and medicine, right?

Nope… When you’ve got a creative skill that others want to learn, you can get paid to write about it. And if you’re anything like most eager freelance writers, your next question is probably “What can I earn?”

Want more blogging gigs on other topics? Check out our Ultimate List of Better-Paid Blogging Gigs here.

How much do creative blogging jobs pay?

Welp, the sites on this list pay from $50 to $400+ for each one-off post they accept, so the exact answer to how much you get paid is up to you.

Offer a great post idea, discuss the length and complexity with the editor, and negotiate a rate you’re happy with!

7 Ways to Take Charge of Your Freelance Blogging Career

7 Ways to Take Charge of Your Freelance Blogging Career

That helpless feeling… it’s horrible, isn’t it?

You know you were born to be a freelance blogger. It’s the perfect fit for you. But so far, you’re kinda going nowhere with it.

You haven’t won the high-paying jobs you hoped would be yours, and you haven’t been invited to join that inner circle of pro bloggers who all seem to know each other.

You check a handful of online job boards regularly, but there aren’t many ads that sound right for you. And when you do apply for gigs, you often don’t hear back from them at all.

How are you supposed to make money at this when there’s no work available?

Oh, it’s available all right.

Not sure how to break this to you. It’s bad news.

Maybe you really *shouldn’t* try to be a freelance blogger. I mean, normally I’m quick to point out that almost anyone who is teachable can learn to do freelance blogging.

You don’t enjoy marketing?

You mean cold calling and sending 10 query emails a week doesn’t make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? How odd… because that’s exactly what every other freelance blogger tells me, too.

This may be reckless, but here we go:

I give you permission to slack off and skip the marketing for a while. 5 days, to be precise.

Because there are 5 things you need to do. When you’ve done them, you can go back to your marketing and it will work better because of the benefits these 5 actions bring.

Do you wish I’d just shut up and tell you what they are? OK…

Going from $75 to $250 per Post… with the Same Freelance Blogging Client (A Step-by-Step Case Study)

Going from $75 to $250 per Post… with the Same Freelance Blogging Client (A Step-by-Step Case Study)

Your freelance blogging dream was a trap.

And you never saw it coming.

“Get as many clients as you can,” they said. “You’ll always have steady work!”

And you did! Now your calendar is full, and you churn out blog posts like nobody’s business.

So… how is that bad?

I’m glad you asked!

For your freelance blogging business to thrive, getting steady work at a steady rate isn’t enough. I mean, if “steady” were all you wanted, you might as well have stayed at your day job!

You need room for growth. For raising your rates to reflect the growing value of your work. For landing new high-paying clients. You can’t afford to be stuck on a hamster wheel of writing blog posts, day in and day out.

For most freelance bloggers, solving this problem boils down to three options:
